ZUELLIG BUILDING AMONG FINALISTS FOR MIPIM ASIA AWARD “BEST OFFICE AND BUISINESS DEVELOPMENT”

MIPIM Asia is a prominent conference and exhibition event focused on real estate in the Asia Pacific region. Each year an impressive selection of the most innovative and ambitious real estate projects compete in various categories for one of the region’s most prestigious real estate awards, in the following categories:

• Best Innovative Green Building
• Best Mixed-Use Development
• Best Office and Business Development
• Best Residential Development
• Best Retail and Leisure Development
• Best Retail Expansion
• Best Urban regeneration Project
• Best Chinese Futura Project
• Best Futura Project
• Best Futura Mega Project

The MIPIM Asia Awards jury, this year headed by Mr. Vincent H.S. Lo, Chairman of Shui On Group, met in Hong Kong to examine the 117 projects from 12 countries that entered this year’s competition.

Mainland China, Singapore and Malaysia dominate the list of entries with respectively 55, 14 and 10 projects. Mainland China’s participation has notably increased by almost 90% compared to 2011. Submissions also came from Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. The Zuellig Building is the only and first contender from the Philippines.

On July 27, 2012, MIPIM Asia revealed the winners of its established Awards competition. The 14 industry experts composing the international jury selected 3 winners in 11 distinct categories, for a total of 30 rewarded projects.
